Dr. Nitin Kolte is an experienced ophthalmologist and eye surgeon with more than two decades of clinical experience in comprehensive eye care. He is the Medical Director and Chief Surgical Ophthalmologist at Poona Eye Care, Pune, where he specialises in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions.

He is highly experienced in cataract and refractive surgery and has successfully managed numerous complex eye conditions. Dr. Kolte is well known for his expertise in advanced cataract surgery techniques and laser vision correction procedures. Over the years, he has treated patients across different age groups and is known for his careful diagnosis, precise surgical approach, and patient-focused care.

Poona Eye Care was founded by Dr. Nitin Kolte, a visionary ophthalmologist with a deep commitment to ethical, patient-centred eye care.

Instead of naming the center after himself, Dr. Kolte chose the name Poona Eye Care to reflect a larger purpose — creating an institution that belongs to the people of Pune, not to any one individual
